“Key” workers
The government uses a funny public sector definition of key workers.
In?? my life the "key" workers are the fishermen who find my fish, the bakers who bake my bread, the oil company employees??who supply my fuel, and the water company which supplies my fresh water. They never get a mention.
Of course if I were very ??ill I would value the services of the good doctors and nurses, but it is a strange world where only public sector employees qualify as "key".

John Redwood has been the Member of Parliament for Wokingham since 1987. First attending Kent College, Canterbury, he graduated from Magdalen College...

Where did the government say that only public sector workers are ‘key’?
it troubles me more that Ambulance men and women are never included as ‘key’ workers in the public sector.

Sir
One of the most sensible things I’ve heard from a politician in a long time.
I still wont be voting Conservative, but I certainly wont be voting Labour either; and I used to be a Labour Party member of many years standing. I live at the bottom of the heap, and I think Gordon Brown’s Prime Ministership will be like Gerald Ford’s Presidency.
Shame you elected the wrong David to your party leadership.
