I agree completely. However, seeing as withdrawal appears inevitable at some stage, I wonder if there are contingency plans being drawn up by the Americans to fill the void in manpower after British troops depart? Would Basra be a good testing ground for the deployment of UN peace-keeping troops?
reply: I am sure the US has contingency plans. Yes it would be good to get more troops involved form other nations, if the Iraqi governemnt would like that.
