I have designed an add-on controller for central heating which puts the heat on only where and when one requires it. I have had the system on trial satisfactorily for forty years(!) and have a patent applied for, as nobody else seems to have anything similar.

Yes, the beneficial temperatures caused by global warming must have been scared away by Cameron and Gore (despite all their air travel and Gore's SUV + Cadillac Escalade). We desperately need it back, so buy a 4x4s today (choose the colour green to make Cameron happy) and remember to travel as much as possible by air!

"Climate change"? That term was invented when todays global warmers were reminded that they in the 70ies predicted the "imminent ice age" we still are waiting for. Or did it arrive in August?

I do not buy into this climate change myth as promoted by a tax hungry government.
I do believe it is a good thing not to waste resources and therefore support the concept of recycling. This needs to be done on a sensible footing with particular emphasis on making it easy to recycle. I see in our neighbouring borough of Bracknell Forest, they use the "alternative Bin Collection" scheme (ABC), this is council speak for fortnightly collections. Homes have three bins, which is fine if you live in a large house with plenty of external space, but not very attractive for one living in a two up two down terrace. I like the Spanish model where there are collection points on each street and the waste is collected daily. They also pay much less local tax for the service. It seems obvious to me that ABC refuse collections will lead to an increase in the rat population (not just at town halls) and an increase in the likelihood of disease. I am pleased that Wokingham still have a sensible policy regarding waste but I fear the Stalinist government are putting more pressure on to move local authorities towards the ABC model.

Can someone tell me why that if climate change is man made, why are the ice caps melting on mars (see NASA's web site) at the same sort of rate they are on Earth?

Reply: I agree with you that we should keep weekly refuse collections, and recycle where possible.
