The win in Paris was a magnificent team effort. Everyone of the players contributed to the result. Behind the team were the coaches and of course the supporters demonstrating a unified whole. Why cannot a unified England be emphasized at every
opportunity instead of referring to regions? A previous comment referred to all political parties referring to our country giving the impression that they are talking about the United Kingdom when in fact they are referring to England. Let's have more clarity and less confusion. We are only too well aware that the Prime Minister has a big big problem- but we'll leave him to solve his own problem!
Our sporting authorities have a problem also. When the St George's Flag is on display at English events and God Save the Queen is sung it reveals a split personality. Jerusalem or Land of Hope and Glory would be more inspirational to any team.

John,
You are a psuedo Englishman trying to stay sufficiently on side to morph at the appropriate time.
We are not fooled. You are have British stamped through you like a stick of B----pool rock. England does not need a change of government she needs a complete change of politicians. (Frank Field and Peter Luff excluded.

Reply: What makes you a judge of Englishness? It is not particularly English to want loads more politicians and bureaucrats to boss us around. We are about to commemorate Trafalgar (21 October), a very English victory brought about by ignoring the rule book and the bureaucrats wishes.

At the Rugby League Grand final between Leeds Rhinos and St Helens they sang England's National Anthem Jerusalem.
I would have loved Jerusalem to have been sung in France.
It is time for all English politicians to sign Early Day Motion 1319
"
EDM 1319 ENGLISH NATIONAL ANTHEM20.04.2007

Mulholland, Greg
That this House believes that it is time that England, when competing as England rather than as Great Britain or the United Kingdom, should adopt an appropriate song to be the English national anthem, in the same way that Scotland and Wales do when they compete as individual nations; further believes that it is quite wrong that England use the British national anthem when competing as England rather than as Great Britain or the United Kingdom, particularly when playing the other home nations who also have God Save the Queen as their British national anthem; and therefore believes that all English sporting associations should adopt an appropriate song that English sportsmen and women, and the English public, would favour when competing as England".

We can expect you to sign it and persuade your fellow MP's to sign it then John.?

Reply: I agree that I would prefer England to sing Jerusalem. I will not sign the EDM as they are never debated and have little impact, and this one is a negative one.

Thank you Mr Redwood. Could you explain to me why politicians say 'in this country' when they mean England? Even the Tories do it. For example, at the Conservative Party Conference Andrew Lansley kept saying 'the NHS in this country'! What country? Of course, he was talking about the NHS in England, so why not say England? We expect this sort of obfuscation from Gordon Brown but not the Conservative Party.

Thankyou for thinking English Mr Redwood.
It is a pitty that you and the party only think English on occasions such as when the national team football or rugby come up trumps.
Wake up and smell the English Rose. Stop thinking how green is the valley and wheather to take the high road or the low road. you votes are in England and England alone.
Brittain is Dead.
Independents for England.

Reply: I do think of England, and speak up for England. Britain is not yet dead, but under pressure, as I set out in "The Death of Britain?" some time ago.

"Today the English team is just 80 minutes of rugby away from being world champions".

Actually, Mr Redwood, England are already World Champions. We are now 80 minutes away from being the first team to win back to back World Cups!

Reply: Quite right - I will insert "again" in the text

Gordon Brown said "This is a proud day for the country and I wish the team the best of luck in the final".

Do you think you could find out which country he was talking about? He seems to have a problem saying England.

Mr Redwood,

You and your party continue to treat the English nation as second class, you talk about being English and yet you and your party will not address the WLQ or give the people of England equality within your UNITED KINGDOM

You and your party continue to expect people of England to die because they can't get the drugs that are available in other party of your UK, you and your party make me sick.

You have never ever stood up for the people who voted for you, you contiue to deny us our rightful choice of a democratic parliament for England, a parliament that our nation can be proud of. You talk about celebrating our hero's, whilst you and your party are intent on destorying the nation you suggest that you support.

UK parties are dying, soon we will have one major UNIONIST based party that will fight against us NATIONALISTS. the UK has had it's day in the form that you portray, it's now down to eachand every one of us who holds ENGLAND within our HEARTS to unite, to put our party differences behind us and UNITE, a coalition of political views wrapped in national indenity is what is now required.

TIME TO GET OFF THE FENCE MR REDWOOD AND FIGHT FOR YOU NATION, ASSUMING THAT YOU ARE AN ENGLISHMAN
