Hello John

With regard to the Wokingham results can you tell me the number of votes for each party received compared with those recorded at the last local election and last general election.

Many thanks John

Reply: I regret I do not have the time today to set all that out. Roughly the Conservative vote was up by about 400 and the Lib Dem vote was down by around 600 compared with Council results last year. They are not comparable with a general Election, as we only contested 8 wards and turnout is always much lower in local elections.

2008 Total Votes cast in Wokingham locals 18317
                                  Conservative 10669
                                  Lib Dem 5216
                                  Others 2432

2005 General in Wokingham Conservative 22174
                                        Lib Dem 14934
                                        Labour 6991
                                        Others 1973
