One of my closest friends from college works out of Leeds @ a Law Firm after going to law school in Sheffield. To take full advantage of HIP she took The Life in the UK Test and passed just this past week. Tired of "letting," she is trying to purchase a home around Barnsley. Although HIP isn't the best solution, @ least it's much better than what is going on in The States. The economy here is ready to hit a rock-bottom depression if this trend of non-sales of homes/foreclosure % rise.

HIP is not what I was hoping for. Furthermore such a package should not cost for the seller nor the buyer. It has to be ravamped completely to include interesting detailed information from the seller himself who should know best the house.

Well said! I liked the bit about Northern Ireland best.
Even if you paid them, I do not think the current government could have slowed up the housing market more completely than they have.
I am just so grateful that none of my family or friends is thinking of selling or buying a house at the moment.
